Euvy With the stock market problems , slowing down of the economy and the layoff of many people’s jobs its now wonder why many are turning toward their own businesses. The trend of entrepreneurism is becoming ever so popular and it is especially amongst the younger generations.

But Why is this the case , why are more of the younger generation taking to entrepreneurship. There are many suggestions for this.
1. Technology – With the increase in new and advanced technology daily the young are being exposed to, it makes it easier to start up their own business. New Social Media tools are ever so popular and are making it so easy to promote a product and get a sale. The Tech Savvy generation can now run businesses from their own rooms , Take Mark Zuckerberg for instance , the 25 year old creator and CEO of Facebook started the 4th most visited site in the world with about 20% of global internet users using it from his dorm room.
3. Money – Faster cars , better technology , The fast lane in life is where you want to be , more younger people are attracted to this , they want the better things but there is a cost. Entrepreneurism gives you more freedom in earning capacity, you are not limited in any way , nowadays an idea can be turned into millions just like that by anyone. But not everyone is cut out to doing that.
4. Ambitious Minds – Enthusiastic minds wanting to know what it’s like tap in to the industry and sometimes get lucky. Usually if you make it into the entrepreneur world you tend to stay there and branch of into different categories. Once an entrepreneur always an entrepreneur.
5. Traditions – Young minds want to go beyond the conventional path set by their ancestors of getting a job with good benefits and do something different.

This is a great post, Euvy! Another reason is that young people are becoming more intelligent at a younger age. I bet some of the smartest people in the world are still in high school. I don’t want to say that all smart people start businesses. But intelligence certainly helps.
